Interview for Scientific American

Last week a story broke about the renewed effort to clone the thylacine by Colossal Biosciences, based in Texas, and Andrew Pask an epigenetisist at the University of Melbourne.  A week earlier I was contacted by nature and science journalist, Kate Evans, to give my opinion on the viability and ethics of such a project.

My view is one of several from science and thylacine ‘experts’ who are less optimistic about the project. Read the article here
